Class will take place in a recreated historic building where Stephen Mack, Jr. hired the area's first teacher to teach the children of the Pecatonic (later Macktown) settlement in the mid-1800's. Visit a working archaeology dig conducted by Midwest Archaeology Research Services (MARS) on a site where artifacts dating back 8,000 years have been found. Accompanied by a professional archaeologist, you will observe how the past is uncovered through archaeological excavation.
