Seward Bluffs Forest Preserve and Sugar River Forest Preserve are open to preserve users and campers for the remainder of the weekend (8/28-8/30). Asphalt work will resume next week. Seward Bluffs Forest Preserve will be closed to visitors and campers on Monday 8/31 and Tuesday 9/1, and Sugar River Forest Preserve is anticipated to be closed on Tuesday 9/1 and Wednesday 9/2.

The Forest Preserves of Winnebago County Board of Commissioners made two statements to Mayor Tom McNamara and the Rockford City Council regarding the proposed formation of the South Rockford Industrial Redevelopment Project Area.
