Clearing and Restoration Projects Underway at Klehm and Sugar River Forest Preserves

In September, 2017, FPWC staff will be using equipment to clear woody invasive vegetation from restored natural areas  at Klehm and Sugar River Forest Preserves.  The clearing work will remove unwanted vegetation that is competing with native plants in restored natural areas. Clearing of invasive plants is part of the ongoing habitat management that FPWC practices to achieve high quality native ecosystems throughout the forest preserves.

Clearing will not interfere with forest preserve use and visitors will be able to enjoy all their usual fall activities,.
