Commissioners Tilly and Maggio Sworn In

At the December meeting of the Forest Preserves of Winnebago County board of commissioners, incumbent Cheryl Maggio and new commissioner, Jeff Tilly,  officially took office.  Maggio was re-elected after four years as a commissioner and will serve a six-year term. Tilly was elected to fill the seat vacated by Randal Olson, whose term expired at the end of 2014. A life-long resident of Winnebago County, Tilly says , “I look forward to doing my part to ensure that the forest preserves of Winnebago County continue to offer a vast array of experiences and opportunities for all residents and their families for many many more years.” Exploring and enjoying the forest preserves was a major part of Tilly’s youth, and in raising his own children. He has a special fondness for the county’s rivers especially the Kishwaukee.

Maggio and Tilly join commisssioners Judy Barnard, Mary McNamara Bernsten, Gloria Lind, Mike Eickman and Audrey Johnson.
