Volunteer to Nurture Nature

We’re proud to protect the land, water and wildlife of Winnebago County, and it wouldn’t be possible without volunteers. Volunteering is a great way to learn more about nature, meet others who share your love of the outdoors and spend time in our beautiful landscapes.  When you volunteer your time and skills to support the forest preserves, you make a real impact on the health, beauty and sustainability of the place we call home.

We need help nurturing native landscapes and creating opportunities for people to learn about and  connect with nature. There many ways to get involved! Click here to read about the variety of volunteer opportunities in the forest preserves.
