Executive Director
The Forest Preserve District of Winnebago County is seeking an Executive Director to serve as its chief executive officer. The Executive Director is the senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all operations of the District including land management, conservation efforts, partnership development and coordination, community outreach, and financial health. Golf Course Mechanic (Macktown Golf Course)
Maintains and repairs golf course and clubhouse equipment and facilities as needed. Must have a professional working knowledge of automobile, truck, mowing equipment, sprinkler systems, and golf cart maintenance. Trades Tech I
Provides general repairs, construction, and upgrades to preserve buildings and infrastructure as needed throughout the District utilizing intermediate-level construction, fabrication and troubleshooting skills, as well as performing some general repair and fabrication of equipment. Must demonstrate working knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in the building trades, with the ability to understand and follow instructions and work somewhat independently. Natural Resource Assistant
The seasonal natural resource assistant will work to restore the ecological conditions that sustain and preserve native plant and animal communities in the county’s prairies, wetlands and woodlands.
