Species Spotlight: Bumblebees
April 6 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am
FreeFPWC Headquarters
Bumblebees and other native pollinators are in dire straits so it is important that we collect population data that can be used to help conserve these important species. BeeSpotter is a collaboration between citizen scientists and the professional science community through a web-based portal at the University of Illinois. To learn more about this program and how you could get involved as a BeeSpotter, join local naturalist Barbara Williams for this fascinating educational program.
Pre-register online by clicking HERE no later than Wednesday, April 3rd if you wish to reserve a printed copy of the instructional materials at the event. Walk-ins are always welcome, though space is limited.
This session is free and open to anyone interested in learning about bumblebees; however, those interested in volunteering as an official FPWC Bumblebee Monitor will need to complete our volunteer application.
