Historical Re-enactment Workshops

An event every day that begins at 12:00pm, repeating indefinitely

Learn the history of Winnebago County’s first white settler and settlement and the environment that surrounded Pecatonica! These workshops will offer specific genre information of French Fur Trappers, Native American Woodland Culture, Settler, and Militia. Topics: clothing choices, typical foods and cooking styles, tools, daily tasks, language, and weaponry, if applicable. All ages welcome but recommend middle to upper elementary age children and adults. Some clothing is available for use during the Gathering, but personal gear is encouraged. Macktown Volunteers, Free, all others $5. For more information call 815-624-4200.
