R.E.A.P. Volunteer Workday (Restoration.Education.Appreciation.Preservation.)

June 20 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Four Lakes Forest Preserve (Trask Bridge Road Entrance/Dog Training Area)

Four Lakes is a beautiful 186.1-acre preserve containing four small man-made lakes. R.E.A.P. Volunteers will collect native seeds.  Afterwards, we’ll hike the area to discover the area’s bees, dragonflies and butterflies!

RSVP here to let us know you’re coming!

It is important to remember:

  • Proper off-trail outdoor workday attire recommended – long pants, long sleeves & sturdy, waterproof shoes (no sandals or flip-flops, please)
  • Light snack & work gloves provided – bring your water bottle – wear your insect repellent & sunscreen
  • In case of extreme weather (storms, excessive heat, etc.) our workday will be canceled – check our website and Facebook page for event cancellation information

R.E.A.P. Volunteer Workdays are held on the third Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. until Noon throughout the summer!  No experience? No problem!  Our natural resource experts offer hands-on ecological restoration training consisting of invasive plant removal and native seed collection, plus enriching conservation activities when our work is done.
