Hooked On Fun: Kids Fishing Event on June 4th

Forest Preserves of Winnebago County invites the community to a free fishing event designed especially for families and kids, on Saturday, June 4th, 2016 from 9:00 am to 12:00 at Four Lakes Forest Preserve, 10207 Fish Hatchery Road, Pecatonica, IL 61063.

Hooked On Fun is designed to open the door to fishing and outdoor recreation for children and families. No participation fee. Volunteers available to instruct and assist to help people to enter into the fun. Bring your own equipment; limited quantity loaner equipment available. Bait provided. No experience necessary!

Kids will have a “Free” Day of Fishing”. Limited quantity event t-shirts given on first-come-first-served basis. Commemorative photo and “largest fish” prizes in various age categories. The kids and their families will learn the techniques of fishing and build memories of a wonderful family event. No fishing license is required during this special event.
