Species Spotlights 2019: Free Citizen Science Programs

Attend these free programs to learn about Citizen Science in the forest preserves and the various organisms that volunteers will be tracking and monitoring in the 2019 season. Species Spotlight sessions are for all who are interested in the plants and animals of Winnebago County, and are prerequisite for those who are considering becoming a volunteer citizen scientist for FPWC. Experienced citizen scientists will present photos,  status, identification tips and protocols for monitoring bluebirds, bees, bats, dragonflies, frogs, grassland birds and plants. Please register for each session in advance on the Events Calendar at winnebagoforest.org to ensure we will have materials for you. All will be held at FPWC headquarters, 5500 Northrock Drive, Rockford, IL 61103. Citizen Science Spotlights are co-sponsored/co-hosted by Severson Dells Nature Center.
