Land Restoration Open House April 9th

The public is invited to attend an informational open house to learn about plans for restoring and managing natural communities in forest preserves in 2015. From 5:30 until 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 9 the Forest Preserves of Winnebago County will provide restoration plans, and a PowerPoint presentation on the district’s ecological restoration program at FPWC Headquarters, 5500 Northrock Drive, Rockford. Staff will be available to answer questions.

The Forest Preserves of  Winnebago County’s  ecological restoration program restores and manages nearly 10,000 acres to achieve healthy ecosystems, quality wildlife habitat, plant and animal biodiversity, and beautiful natural landscapes for recreation and education.
